Together with the potters in Vietnam, Piet Hein Eek designed vases that combine modern form with traditional Vietnamese colors and patterns. The enamel painters have decorated their ceramics for centuries in the same way. Sparsely decorated, the result is startlingly graphic and modern. The exterior of this vase is partly glazed. The vase is watertight.
