Designed by Hans Harald Rath for Lobmeyr in 1952, the Alpha Glassware series fits snugly into the hand and was inspired by a copper beaker from the middle ages. The Alpha Beaker was very much a product of the 1950s, stackable & ideal for young families who need products that are both elegant and practical, a theme which couldn't fit into our modern day any better.

Alpha is made of the thinnest muslin glass & is hand blown into wooden molds. Named after the finely woven french fabric, muslin glass is crystal blown to a thickness of only .7 – 1.1 mm. It appears delicate, but is remarkably resilient thanks to its inner elasticity & formal construction.

The set of six consists of one of each color in citrin, rosaline, amethyst, light blue, light green and grey.
